| There is absolutely no reason to dumb society down to the lowest common denominator simply to accomodate the ultra-stupid. Doing so is counterproductive and impedes the progress of society as a whole. What I really love is when I hear about groups that not only deny their shortcoming, they promote it! I remember hearing about a group of ultra-obese people who have gone political and are lashing out at doctors for recommending that people lose weight. They say such recommendations are highly discriminatory against fat people. They also want medical guidlines rewritten so they call a morbidly obese person "healthy". Strangely enough, they are against fat people having special "handicapped" priviledges, because they say that it denotes that fatness is a medical problem, which they argue against. To summarize- 1- Just because a special interest group exists doesn't mean that they have a valid point. 2- An individual's stupidity is a personal problem and the rest of society shouldn't be punished for it.
